Implantology is a dental discipline that combines oral surgery and prosthetics.
The implantology basis is surgical implant of the titanium cylindre implant in the bone. The procedure is painless and short, and is performed with local anaesthetics.
After the integration of the implant and bone that lasts from 6 weeks to 6 months, a structure with the tooth root function is applied.

A prosthetic work, usually a bridge, is then applied to the structure. This method replaces the missing tooth without drilling, i.e. damaging the neighbouring teeth.
Furthermore, missing teeth can be replaced on the part of bone where teeth cannot be replaced in any other method due to inexistence of root or tooth as a carrier.
Our clinic offers two systems in implantology programme: Ankylos and Nobel Biocare. Each of them has its advantages and indications depending on the plan and goal of the treatment. |
